Amitha Omonuwa is a certified Physician Assistant in Fort Myers and Cape Coral, Florida who specializes in Vascular surgery and the management of vein disorders. His career journey so far has included hands-on experience in several surgical disciplines including Vascular and Endovascular surgery, Plastic surgery, Neurosurgery and bariatric surgery. Amitha has had a circuitous life and career path. He was born and raised in Nigeria then left home at the age of 12 to begin boarding school in Lagos, Nigeria. He then moved to the United States and began the pursuit of a career in medicine with an undergraduate degree from the University of West Georgia and eventually obtained the Physician Assistant degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Amitha has earned valuable experience in the management of surgical patients in varying surgical specialties such as General, Bariatric, Plastic and Neurosurgery which have helped mold him into a well rounded clinical professional. He truly enjoys the variety and complexity of patients that he encounters in the field of Vascular surgery. Each one is a valuable learning experience that has kept him engaged for many years now. He now has over 8 years of experience in the management of artery and vein disorders as a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant in Southwest Florida. Passionate about water, live music, traveling and meeting new people, the move to Florida was a natural fit in September 2016. Here, he spends his free time exploring new local music talent and working on his back up career as a beach bum. Amitha also enjoys traveling and the Latin culture. His goal is to visit as many Central and South American countries as possible (and hopefully learn some Spanish).

Amitha Omonuwa's biggest passion is traveling and immersing himself in other cultures. He has been fortunate to travel to several countries in South America and Europe with plans to experience many more countries and cultures across the globe. Other passions include Latin ballroom dancing, sports, music, and reading.
